He believes that there are 6 features on how to analyse a music video, These include:

1    The Music video demonstrates genre characteristics. For example having half naked girls dancing around a rapper in a Hip Hop Video.

2    That there is a relationship between lyrics and visuals

3    That there is a relationship between the music and visuals

4    The demands of the record label will include loads of close ups of the artist

5    There is a frequent reference of looking (screens, mirrors, and telescopes) and the treatment of the female body.

6    Often Intertextual references to either films, TV programmes or other music videos.
